Sometimes referred to “tongue-in-cheek” as ‘WW: The Sequel, this discussion group follows on the World War One tutorial in which we examine the failure of the Treaty of Versailles, the Armistice of 1918, the rise of Mussolini and Hitler in Europe, Imperial Japan’s invasion of China, the Great Depression and its impact, Stalin, Churchill and the great battles that so defined this conflict, to the eventual establishment of the post-war period enforced by the now ascendant United States.
